ASD Westok, a specialist structural steelwork fabricator, has recently attained new fabrication certifications – RQSC for bridgeworks and other forms of fabrication work, as well as the addition of weathering steel to our UKCA FPC certification – further strengthening our commitment to quality and excellence in steel processing and fabrication for the construction, highways and modular sector.
The RQSC (Register of Qualified Steelwork Contractors) scheme is a certification and registration system that ensures contractors meet stringent standards of competence, quality, and safety in the fabrication of bridgework and structural steelwork.
Certification to date covered specialist fabrication such as cellular beams and plate girders. ASD Westok have upgraded their certification to widen their fabrication offer for bridgework and buildings.

The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) FPC (Factory Production Control) Welding Certificate indicates the compliance with specific standards and regulations for welding processes and factory production control within the United Kingdom. This certificate is crucial for demonstrating that Westok’s welding practices and production processes meet the required safety, quality, and performance criteria under UK legislation.
The newly acquired weathering steel certification facilitates the manufacture and fabrication of weathering steel components and beams, further widening their service offering to the construction industry.
