Our Range
At ASD, we stock aluminium extrusions in grades 6063 and 6082, allowing us to comprehensively service customers aluminium extrusion requirements along with our associated value-added services. Our range includes round bar, square bar, tees, hollow section, channels, angles, and flat bar.
6082 aluminium is the highest strength alloy in the 6000 series due to the addition of manganese. It is considered a “structural alloy” because of its use in high-stress applications, including cranes, trusses, and bridges. In many instances, 6082 has replaced alloy 6061. The alloy also has very good corrosion resistance, though its surface finish isn’t as smooth or aesthetic as other 6000 series alloys.

6063 aluminium often referred to as an architectural alloy, is commonly used in more complex extrusions with medium strength. The alloy offers a good, aesthetic surface finish along with a high level of corrosion resistance. It is also more easily welded and anodised.
