PLASMA & OXY-FUEL CUTTING

At ASD, we offer high-definition plasma and oxy-fuel profiling to complement our extensive range of hot rolled, reversing mill, strip mill, offshore, and boiler/pressure vessel plates.

We supply these plates in a wide range of steel grades and sizes – either as full plates or precision-profiled parts. Our profiling service is further supported by on-site drilling and edge preparation.

  • Ability to process large area plates up to 14m x 3.2m in a number of grades, ranging from structural steels through to pressure vessel, boiler and offshore grades
  • Volume and small batch profiling
  • All profiles can be fettled and shrink wrapped

Oxy-Fuel Profile Cutting

  • UKCA/CE Marking to Execution Class 4
  • Cutting capability up to 180mm
  • Full cutting capability up to 13000mm in length
  • Full cutting capability up to 3200mm wide
  • Individual piece weight of 18 tonnes
  • Multiple head cutting for maximum efficiency
  • Standard tolerance +/-3mm, tighter tolerances available on application

Drilling

  • Plates
  • Bed size: 3100mm x 6100mm
  • Up to 52mm holes
  • Deep hole, chip breaking cycle

Plasma Profile Cutting

  • UKCA/CE marking to Execution Class 4
  • Hi-Def cutting up to 80mm thick
  • Full cutting capabilities up to 3000mm wide
  • Full cutting capability up to 13000mm in length
  • Standard tolerance +/-2mm, tighter tolerances available on application
  • Full plate etching available across all machines
  • Bolt hole technology
  • Plasma bevel cutting
